Mario Seminara, R.S., has 30+ years in Retail Food Safety. He formed and is the Principal, Food Safety Works LLC, after retiring from FDA as a Retail Food Specialist, Denver, CO. He also has retail food protection program experience as a Food Safety Inspection Officer; Environmental and Consumer Health Protection Program Manager and Assistant Director of a State Program. Industry experience includes the Olive Garden Italian Restaurant and Shoney’s restaurants in the General Manager/Executive Manager positions, respectively. Currently, he is working as a consultant/contractor with state and county retail food protection programs; national food safety associations; and privately held food safety corporations. Mario maintains his Registered Professional Sanitarian registration, is a qualified ServSafe Instructor/Proctor, Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) and a HACCP certified Lead Instructor for the International HACCP Alliance.
