About me
Emerson Zamensky is a creative technologist and researcher with a background in environmental science, public health, and creative technical engineering. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and a Master's degree in Creative Technology and Design (CTD)—an engineering-focused program— both from the University of Colorado Boulder. While at CU, she worked in the CTD Living Matter/Emerging Nanomaterials Lab, where she discovered her passion for blending biology, engineering, and creative technical exploration. Emerson has worked with the City of Oakland's Sustainability and Resilience Division and is currently with the Denver Department of Public Health and Environment, focusing on projects addressing air quality and health equity. Her Master's projects have combined physical computing, user-centered design, and computer science to build tech-driven tools for public health. Emerson is passionate about using human-focused design to support community well-being.
