Dan Zangari is currently a Section Chief with the Colorado Department of Agriculture, Division of Inspection & Consumer Services. Dan began working for the Colorado Department of Agriculture in 2019 as an inspector, then progressed to a lead inspector, and ultimately assumed his current role in 2023. His primary duties involve oversight of program management staff who manage various programs throughout Colorado. These include Feed, Fertilizer, Anhydrous Ammonia, Eggs, Measurement Standards, Custom Meat Processing Facilities, Commodity Handler, and Farm Products. Dan graduated from the State University of New York, College of Environmental Science & Forestry, in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Biology. Prior to his employment with the state of Colorado, Dan worked as a fisheries biologist for the state of Florida, focusing on reef fisheries and the shellfish industry. He enjoys spending his free time golfing, reading, and gardening.
