Dr. Chris Roundy is the state public health entomologist with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. He leads Colorado's vector surveillance programs, overseeing efforts to monitor and respond to mosquitoes, ticks, and other vectors of public health importance. His recent work includes expanding the state's tick surveillance program, strengthening mosquito surveillance, and coordinating the response to the detection of Aedes aegypti in western Colorado. Dr. Roundy also serves as an investigator with the CDC Rockies and High Plains Vector-borne Disease Training and Evaluation Center. He earned a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Texas Medical Branch and a Master of Science in Public Health from Tulane University.
