About me
Aki Suzuki is an Emerging Issues Scientist in the Toxicology and Risk Assessment Program (TARA) at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). Her work is focused on using data to understand environmental health issues, particularly those related to emerging contaminants like PFAS. Aki is also passionate about leveraging science communications to share information with key stakeholders, communicate risk, and provide actionable recommendations to empower people to protect their health.
Aki earned her Master's degree in Environmental Public Health from the Colorado School of Public Health in December 2023. Before her graduate studies, she held marketing roles that focused on visual, written, and oral communications.
Outside of work, Aki enjoys spending time in community with friends and family, outdoor adventures, yoga, photography, learning japanese, reading, and cooking!
